RETURNING TO WORK IN A COVID WORLD

Lockdown has now been relaxed enough and massage therapists have been given the green light to return to work. Therefore, I am now ready to make appointments. There will be some changes in the process both before and during each session, to help ensure both yours and my safety.
I now require at least 1 day notice.
If you are a first-time client, I will ask you to fill in a Consultation & Covid Screening form.
(If you are considered a high-risk client, it may not be possible to massage you at this time)
If you are an existing client, I will ask you to fill in short Update consultation & Covid Screening form, this is a form I will need you to fill in before EACH treatment you book in with me.
There will also be a short consent form which Shine Holistic will email you the day before the appointment. I hereby notify you that your details will be passed on to Shine Holistic and treated in accordance with GDPR.
I will require payment in advance, via Direct Transfer or PayPal to avoid touching card machines or cash.
Before you leave your home, please check your temperature, and consider if you are experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms. If so, please postpone or cancel your appointment. The cancellation policy is not applicable at this time, but it will mean you won’t be able to reschedule your appointment for 2 weeks.
Please try not to run errands on your way in.
If you can, please use the bathroom before coming in.
Please come alone as waiting room is reserved for clients, we are staggering all appointments, so no two people wait at the same time.
Please be on time.
Please do not bring many things with you, this will help me with sanitizing surfaces in between clients.
When you arrive, Shine will take your temperature at the door and offer you a mask. Reception will direct you to my door, which I will open for you: please walk into the practice room without touching anything. Once in the room I will ask you to take off your shoes, wash your hands/use hand sanitizer.
We have Hepa filters in every room and I will open the windows to ventilate between clients, if the weather is hot I will leave the window open for extra ventilation.
The massage table and all surfaces will have been thoroughly disinfected. The linens are be disposable and compostable.
I will ask you to wear a mask, please let me know in advance if this is an issue for you and we will work around it. – as you lie prone on the massage couch you may pull the mask under you nostril to facilitate breathing.
I will wear a mask as well as a visor.
Should you wish I will wear gloves. I will wear gloves for those of you who fall in the vulnerable category.
I will change my clothes in between clients or I will wear an apron which will be sanitized in between clients
The massage will continue as per usual, though we will not be chatting to avoid droplet formation.
No face massage is allowed at present, I will mainly work on the back of your body and access the front from a side lying position, or a short time supine (to date this will change on 1st August)
When the massage is over, please leave all the linens/towels on the table. Put your clothes & shoes back on, finally use hand sanitizer and exit again without touching anything. You may use the bathroom where you will find more hand sanitizer.
There will be an approximate 30-minute gap between clients, to enable disinfection of the practice space, therapy table and equipment, door handle and the pen used for signing the form if applicable (the purpose of online forms is to avoid the use of pen and paper in the room).
Scheduling of follow up appointments is to be made by phone or email with myself or Shine, we will be unable to look at our diaries in the clinic room.
